cozy nightstand

My cozy little bedside table *^_^*

As plain as it is, I really love my cute little nightstand decor/arrangement. I think it perfectly showcases my personality (girly, cozy cottage/country, disney, books, extreme organization, etc… haha). And yes- I drink from jars. Maybe it's my country roots, but I really love drinking from jars! They hold more water than most cups and they are freaking cute, so quit hatin'!!! :P

So if you're curious about all the items I have up here, (because I mean, why wouldn't you be?)  I will go over them! My adorable "oil-lamp" is from Lamps Plus- it is so nice. I love how it has a little tiny bulb on the bottom glass, as well as the top glass (not currently on). Then we have my glasses, a photo of Anthony and I, my favorite Dior lip balm, my jar o' wawter (country accent), remotes, books I'm reading (The Happiness Project, The Fault In Our Stars, My Sweet Audrina), Raspberry Peach Macaron candle annnnnd a little tiny Alice.

I also know that some people have commented on the exposed brick in my studio and said that they didn't like it, but I LOVE it! Even though it doesn't match my cottage/sweet/carnival theme, I kind of like that weird contrast! I think it works :P

I hope you guys enjoyed seeing yet ANOTHER sneak peek of my studio design. It's SO close to being done. I'm very happy that I finally feel as if I'm able to go back to focusing on more important things in my life ^_^

  11. Jars are useful for drinks (with cute umbrellas and a straw of course), for gift giving, candies, jewelry, or paintbrushes, etc. I'm a fan. Lol

  12. The brick is actually one of my favorite things about your place that I have seen. There's something about it that seems to make all of the cute stuff stand out more. Then again, I love exposed brick matched with elegance in general. Also, that oil lamp is gorgeous.

  15. Love the bricks wall too. I think it oddly goes well with ur theme as long as its warm tone. so edgy and unique. it would have been "too sweet" if the wall in white or other pastel colour. So do keep the bricks! N of course love ur nightstand. and that oil lamp? stunning! how dreamy it is. wish i could have one.

  33. The beauty of this is how it's so simple but so beautiful at the same time. That lamp looks vintage, is it? It looks like an antique artifact of some kind. It's gorgeous!

  34. I know exposed brick is usually more of a cold urban look, but with your decorating choices it actually feels kinda country, and a lot warmer/cozier. Love what you've done with your place!

  35. I wish I could do things like this! I'm totally creative at designing drawings/art, but when it comes to decorating rooms my skills are just sad :P
Thanks for giving me a girly retreat to look at during my day, my room is currently under construction so I don't really have a peaceful space that's totally mine right now.

    Stay wonderful!

  48. Hi Kalel! I recently moved into a dorm room and the walls are so darn ugly. Do you or anybody else have any advice on how to make boring white walls look prettier without 'permanently' changing the walls? :3
